Switching the DSOs in the Left Outer Join would not provide the correct results either.
Did you try it or you are just guessing it? I feel the results may come closer if you interchange. Otherwise you have to enhance your DSO1 with material and date fields. In the query designer, you have to use date and Material from the DSO1, then it will show the result as expected.
