Hi Somasundar,
Go to OAYZ and select the respective asset class and click the details icon. you would see a field Variable depreciation portion. It defines the amount of variable depreciation in total depreciation for an asset class. It will be multiplied with the shift factor and will be added to fixed depreciation for arriving at total depreciation.
For example if Variable depreciation portion is 50. Dep rate is 10% and acq value is 1000. Fixed dep is 50 and variable dep is 50. So Total depreciation for single shift is 50+50=100. If shift factor is 2 then Fixed dep is 50 and variable dep is 50*2=100. So total dep is 50+100=150.
You must have entered 100 there in variable dep portion. Thats why system multiplies with 2 i.e 2*100=200.
If you dont want any increase in depreciation with increase in shift then remove variable dep porion.
Hope it is clear.
