Only in the PM Order, technicians can be assigned. But for Preventive Maintenance, PM Orders will not be generated for the whole year initially.
Generally, plans will be created by considering the whole year & PM Orders will be created mostly on monthly basis. This will allow the planner to skip any future calls or to simulate the future calls as per the business convenience.
If you want to have orders for whole year, then do the scheduling for whole year (by unmarking Completion Requirement tick box, if selected). Again this will work out only for Time based plans, but not for Performance based plans as PM Orders will get generated once the measurement document value reaches its due.
