UDF FIELD HAVING DOUBLE QUOTES AFTER DTW IMPORT

Hi,

I am importing the old database items into new DB using DTW. Every thing is ok but there is one field called U_Description which shows double quotes unnecessarily  in some of the values of the items. Actually the standard field item name was also having this problem but I solved it by updating it through Excel Import from B1. As there is no provision for UDFs to be updated in that option can u tell me how to solve this problem?
