Hi Sagar,
Simulation Type controls the following properties of the simulation transaction, EAMS20-
(a) Only Simulate to End of Simulation Period
(b) Posting of simulated documents in BW
(c) Posting of simulated documents in CO-PA
(d) Updating Mass Simulation Documents to UIS (Sales Statistics)
(e) Saving of Simulated document
(f) Ignoring Implausible meter reading results
You will find the simulation type field in the transaction EAMS20, when you are creating a simulation ID.
I don't think Simulation type will help in executing a specific simulation scenario from reporting purposes, as I think you need some filtering criteria in the Billing schema
However, during the creation of simulation indexes through EAMS10, you can filter out by either any one of the following-
(a) Installation
(b) Division
(c) Billing Class
(d) MRU
(e) Rate Category
(f) Service type.
If you put any values in for either of the above fields, then the simulation indexes will only be generated specific to those scenarios, which then you can use for your reporting purposes.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Amlan
